PDMA issues rain alert in upper Punjab

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab issued a rain alert for the upper parts of the province from October 5 to October 7, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
A spokesman of PDMA said that heavy rains are likely to hit upper parts of Punjab.
Director-General Irfan Ali Kathia directed all commissioners and deputy commissioners to remain alert during the period.
He said that water flow will likely be increased in all the rivers and adjacent nullahs and drains of the province.
The rain alert was also issued to the Provincial Department of Irrigation, Communication and Local Government, and Livestock.
The Director-General advised the general public to adopt protective measures due to bad weather.
