Election Commission issues schedule for Senate seat vacated by Murad Saeed

The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced the election schedule for the Senate seat vacated by disqualified PTI leader Murad Saeed, with polling set to take place on April 23 in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.

According to an official statement, the Returning Officer will issue a public notice regarding the vacant seat on Friday, while nomination papers will be submitted on April 6 and 7.

The scrutiny of nomination papers is scheduled for April 10, followed by the filing of appeals against acceptance or rejection on April 13. The hearing of appeals will take place on April 15, and the final list of candidates will be published on April 16.

Candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nomination papers on April 17.

Polling for the seat will be conducted on April 23 from 9am to 4pm at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
