Five girls including three schoolgirls missing in a single day in Dadu

Five girls were reported missing on the same day in Mehar tehsil of Dadu district, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to police, three of the missing girls disappeared from the jurisdiction of B-Section Police Station.

The girls, all eighth-grade students and close friends, left for school in the morning but failed to return home.

Their families later reported that their mobile phones had been switched off and registered missing persons reports with the police.

Following reports of the disappearances, Dadu Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) retired Captain Saddam Hussain Khaskheli visited the police station and met local officers.

He directed investigators to speed up efforts to locate the girls, saying police were using mobile phone tracing and other investigative methods. The SSP expressed hope that the students would be found soon.

In a separate incident on the same day, two sisters were also reported missing from Bismillah Colony, which falls within the jurisdiction of A-Section Police Station in Mehar.

Their father, Hafiz Asadullah Brohi, lodged a report with the police after the two young women, identified as 20-year-old Laiba and 18-year-old Razia, also known as Bibi, left home carrying their mobile phones and other belongings.

Authorities are continuing investigations into all five reported disappearances to determine the circumstances surrounding the cases and to trace the missing girls.
