PM&DC to launch digital inspector training programme nationwide

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) is set to introduce a landmark nationwide Digital Inspector Training Programme, with all preparations now complete. According to PM&DC, the initiative marks a major step toward modernizing the supervision of medical and dental education across the country.

An important meeting held at PM&DC headquarters in Islamabad finalized the arrangements, framework, and technical requirements for the national training scheduled from December 9 to 11, 2025. The session was chaired by the President of PM&DC and attended by 12 master trainers from across Pakistan.

During the meeting, participants conducted an in-depth review of the training modules, digital inspection workflow, equipment usage, training materials, and assessment tools. The leadership emphasized that the core objective of the program is to fully equip inspectors for a completely digitalized, transparent, and standardized inspection system, ensuring oversight of medical and dental colleges in line with modern global practices.

The meeting also gave approval to documented protocols, the inspector’s guide, a unified digital platform, standardized reporting mechanisms, and uniform inspection procedures.

PM&DC stated that the newly developed digital inspection system will significantly reduce human error while enhancing quality assurance, transparency, and institutional performance evaluation nationwide. The council reiterated that upgrading the national inspection framework on modern technological lines remains its top priority, and expressed confidence that this upcoming training will serve as a major milestone in transforming regulatory oversight in Pakistan’s medical and dental education sector.
