Resolution moved in Sindh Assembly against arrests of PTI workers

A resolution has been submitted in the Sindh Assembly against the arrests of PTI workers under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO), calling the detentions unconstitutional and politically motivated.

The resolution was moved by PTI-backed MPA Muhammad Owais, who accused authorities of using force against what he described as peaceful political workers. He stated that the arrests of PTI activists were carried out in violation of democratic principles and fundamental constitutional rights.

According to the text of the resolution, more than 150 PTI political workers have been detained by police under MPO provisions. The resolution strongly condemned what it termed illegal and politically driven actions against party workers.

Muhammad Owais urged the assembly to take notice of the situation and appealed to the Speaker to ensure the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law.

The resolution demanded immediate and unconditional release of all detained PTI workers.
