No talks, terrorists will be given befitting response with full force: Defence Minister
Kh Asif says banned BLA is the military wing of criminal elements, India behind terrorists in Balochistan, Kulbhushan was caught from Balochistan, not Lahore or Karachi
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that Indian-backed proxies were present in Balochistan, security forces were continuing operations against terrorists, adding that the slain terrorists have no nationalist or political affiliation, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Monday.
Addressing the National Assembly session which started under the chair of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Kh Asif briefed the parliament that 177 terrorists killed in Balochistan in 2 days. He made it clear that there will be no talks with terrorists and terrorists will be responded with full force. Defense Minister said banned BLA was the military wing of criminal elements. He said Balochistan has a small population but a large area, terrorists take advantage of this.
He said, "Indian spy Kulbhushan was arrested from Balochistan, not Lahore or Karachi".
Khawaja Asif says India was behind terrorists in Balochistan. “What happened in Balochistan is a great tragedy for the nation”, Khawaja Asif added. He said laborers were killed in Balochistan.
Defense Minister said oil is bought from Iran for Rs 40 per liter and sold in Karachi for Rs 200 per liter. He said terrorrists were earning Rs4 billion daily from smuggled Iranian oil. Khawaja Asif said some element were destroying law and order due to stopping oil smuggling. Khawaja Asif said Afghan soil was being misused against Pakistan. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has advised the formation of a political committee in Balochistan and the holding of its meetings within the province to isolate terrorist elements.
He said that political leaders from Balochistan should sit together under such a committee to address the situation. He stressed the need for greater vigilance in the matter. Kh Asif said that BLA terrorists were carrying refiles worth two million each who was supporting them and who is investing there. He said US weapons were being used in Balochistan. Defense Minister said that laborerer were being killed in Balochistan.
He said that BLA was fake which has no grounds in Balochistan. Kh Asif urged the parliament to get united against the menace of terrorism. He said that parliament has to play its due share in it.
Asif emphasised that Balochistan’s serious grievances and concerns must be heard. He added that both the federal government and the provincial administration need to take political measures to deal with the issue.
