An Islamabad district and sessions court has issued non-bailable arrest warrant for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in connection with 2016 case, in which he was accused of carrying alcohol and unlicensed weapons, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.

Senior civil judge Mubashar Hassan Chishti heard the case. Raja Zahoor-ul-Hassan appeared in the court on behalf of CM Gandapur.

During the hearing, Gangapur’s counsel filed plea seeking exemption of Ali Amin Gandapur's presence in the court as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister was reportedly busy in high level security meeting in connection with Muharram.

However court was told that due to Ali Amin Gandapur's absence, the statement of 342 could not be submitted in the court.

Resultantly court rejected Gandapur's request for exemption from appearance and issued issues non-bailable arrest warrant.
