Steel prices per tonne increased in Lahore

The prices of steel have been increased by Rs 6,000 per tonne and reached Rs160,000 per tonne in Lahore shattering the dreams of middle-class people to build his or her own home, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The price of 40 grade steel in last year November was Rs110,000 per tonne while currently, and it is Rs185, 000 per tonne 

Dealers put blame on recently imposed taxes for the price hike.

Earlier, Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) Chairman Fayyaz Ilyas said that in the past 10 months there has been an increase of Rs68000 per tonne in cement prices. 

On the other hand, the price of cement has moved up to Rs680 per 50kg bag.
