US dollar reaches Rs167 against Pakistani rupee

8.4% #CPI for #August is encouraging news, suggesting easing of pressure.
Yesterday #Bond yields gained, though #tbills rates hardly moved.
However, with softer OIL & FOOD prices easing, I don’t see any possibility of #SBP POLICY RATE HIKE in #SEPTEMBER #MPS.
The US dollar jumped by 42 paisas and reached Rs166.38 against the Pakistani currency.
On a similar pattern, the British pound gained 81 paisas against the rupee and reached Rs229.18 per pound.
