A local imam was arrested in Karachi after he instigated the people to attack the policemen who were trying to implement the lockdown orders on Friday.

According to details, the two policemen had reached Masjid-e-Aqsa in Liaquatabad No 9 after receiving reports about the huge gathering there.

As they tried to convince the imam and the people attending the prayers, he asked the people to attack the policemen.

It can be seen the footage on 24NewsHD TV channel that a large crowd running after the policemen who later took refuge in a house.

However, a heavy police contingent reached the area and arrested the imam as well as four members of the mosque committee.

It is important to note that a complete lockdown was observed in Sindh.
