Anti-Imran plot: US again denies any wrongdoing

The United States has again rejected the fresh allegations leveled by PM Imran Khan and his team, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

The state department was approached in wake of fresh allegations and a set of four questions was sent to the US.

Imran Khan called the no-confidence motion an American conspiracy, saying the no-confidence motion was “rejected because it was an American conspiracy”. Fawad Chaudhry accused the US officials of hurling threats at the Pakistani ambassador.

The state department replied: “We've read your questions.

“There is no truth in the allegations made by Imran Khan.

 “We support the rule of law and the constitution in Pakistan.

“We are reviewing developments in Pakistan."

Previously. Imran Khan told the media that the US was angry with him over his Russian visit the American spokesperson denied any wrongdoing.

 President Arif Alvi approved the dissolution of the National Assembly following advice from Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan earlier in his address to the nation said that he had sent a summary to the President for the dissolution of the assemblies and also called upon the public to get ready for the new elections.

The president approved the prime minister’s advice and dissolved the National Assembly. Also, the federal cabinet also stands dissolved but the prime minister will continue his constitutional duties. The information minister said that the federal cabinet has been dissolved. However, the prime minister will continue to perform his constitutional duties as per Article 224 of the Constitution of Pakistan,  the minister said.
