Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Iftikhar Durrani was arrested by police from his residence in Islamabad during the wee hours of Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The police raided the house of Iftikhar Durrani, who had served as special assistant to prime minister during PTI government, and took him into custody without any resistance.

After arresting Iftikhar Durrani, the police party has shifted him to an undisclosed location.

Confirming the arrest on Twitter, the PTI claimed that Iftikhar Durrani was abducted from his house in the dead of night without any arrest or search warrant.

“Neither the sanctity of a house nor of the women was taken care of,” the party added.
