Three dacoits escaped from Lodhran city police station by cutting the rods of the prison cell, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to police, the accused were involved in dozens of incidents of heinous crime such as robbery and opening fire during robbery.

The accused were in the custody of Lodhran city police. They were identified as Ahsan Gujjar, Rashid Atira and Shan alias Shani.

On information, District Police Officer (DPO) Hussam Bin Iqbal and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ishaq Sial reached the police station.

DSP Ishaq Sial said that action had been initiated against the negligent police officials.

The DPO ordered to form a team for the search and arrest of the accused.
