Undue delay in development projects unbearable: CM

Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Wednesday presided over a virtual meeting to review the pace of work on development projects and schemes in southern Punjab.
Addressing the participants, Buzdar warned that an inordinate delay would be unbearable. He directed the senior officials to monitor the work pace.
Buzdar said a third party will monitor all the welfare schemes and. He said an inquiry would be initiated into the complaints of the public.
He said that the development process was going on speedily as the government launched several public welfare projects worth billions of rupees and third-party monitoring of every development scheme would be done.
He said that enquiry would be held on public complaints to punish careless officials. The government was the custodian of national resources and those involved in any embezzlement would not be spared, he warned.
Usman Buzdar reviewed the progress on the projects of education, health and clean drinking water. He also reviewed the progress on ongoing projects including the construction of roads, housing, buildings, beautification of the city, local government, agriculture, livestock, transport and other sectors.
