Rs2.75 billion Zakat distributed in first week of Feb

The Provincial Zakat and Ushr Department will distribute over Rs2.75 billion under the head of Zakat among the deserving persons during the first week of February 2026, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to details, during the first phase, Rs2,000 will be distributed per month and Rs12,000 within six months.

Provincial Zakat and Ushr Department distributed Rs24,000 as Zakat among the deserving persons this year. The amount will be distributed through the JazzCash app.

Earlier, an agreement was signed between the Zakat & Ushr Department and Mobilink Jazz Cash for the transparent distribution of Zakat Funds. 

Special Assistant to Provincial Government for Zakat & Ushr Mr. Rashad Iqbal Nasrullah, Chairman, Punjab Zakat & Ushr Council, Rana Munawar Hussain, Parliamentary Secretary, Malik Iftikhar Awan, Irfan Ahmad Sandhu Secretary Zakat & Ushr Department and Administrator Zakat & Ushr Punjab, Muhammad Aslam Ramay were present. Home transfer of Zakat Funds will not only provide convenience to the beneficiaries but also protect their dignity.
