Tender for LNG s import cancelled

A major blow to the government's efforts to deal with the ongoing power crisis in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Sources privy to the matter said the tender for the import of liquefied natural gas (LNG) has been cancelled.

Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) issued tender on 3rd and 4th July for delivery of cargo.

Sources said that the tender has been cancelled due to non-compliance by the companies.

Sources said that no company is technically capable.

Sources said that two companies had submitted bids under the tender.

As per sources, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) Singapore and Total Energies Gas and Power had submitted bids.
