Peshawar Zalmi score 34 runs for three wickets in five overs

Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first against Peshawar Zalmi in a PSL match being played at Karachi’s National Stadium on Wednesday. In the opening five overs, Peshawar Zalmi scored 34 runs for three wickets, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Shoaib Malik was out there for the coin flip instead of Wahab Riaz for Zalmi as Wahab is injured so Shoaib is the stand-in skipper for today.

TEAMS

Karachi Kings XI: Babar Azam, Sharjeel Khan, Colin Ingram, Joe Clarke (wk), Mohammad Nabi, Dan Christian, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Ilyas, Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Arshad Iqbal.

Peshawar Zalmi XI: Kamran Akmal (wk), Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Shoaib Malik (capt), Haider Ali, Ravi Bopara, Sherfane Rutherford, Ammad Butt, Umaid Asif, Saqib Mehmood, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Imran.

All the 12 games played so far in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) were won by the team batting second.

It may be recalled, the PCB on Tuesday said that there have been a few more Covid-19 positive cases in the bubble, but the league will go on with the necessary precautions.

As long as every team has 18 squad members who are Covid negative, they will be allowed to play.
