Five restaurants sealed in Peshawar for violating corona SOPs

Peshawar district administration has continued crackdown on restaurants and hotels for violating coronavirus SOPs and sealed as many as five restaurants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa capital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Peshawar Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Shafiq Afridi took action on the violation of the coronavirus Code of Conduct in Namakmandi Peshawar and sealed restaurants including Haji Hayat Shinwari Tikka, Bacha Shinwari Tikka, Redi Gul Shinwari Tikka, Thanidar Tikka and Namakmandi restaurant.
The TV channel reported that managers of Hamza General Store, Nasir Man Salvi Dry Fruit, Afghani Tikka, Qureshi Tikka Karahi, Muhammad Gul Dry Fruit, Amir Joa, Tasty Mehran, Ghazi Khan Tikka, Khan Zameer Restaurant, Vakil Khan Shinwari Tikka and Nisar Ali Kebab were also arrested for violating coronavirus SOPs.
According to Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Muhammad Ali Asghar, these actions were taken in the pretext of the violation of the corona Code of Conduct and will continue till complete compliance of the SOPs.
Pakistan reported more than 1,100 new coronavirus cases for the second consecutive day, as the overall number increased to 336,260 during the past 24 hours (Monday), the latest figures released by National Command and Operation Centre showed on Tuesday morning.
It means 1,167 people tested positive on Monday while another 14 died of the coronavirus, raising the toll to 6,849 in the country.
Sindh continues to be the most affected province with 146,774 people infected. The regional distribution of the coronavirus cases for other provinces/regions is given as: Punjab 104,894, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 39,749, Islamabad 20,243, Balochistan 15,977, Azad Kashmir 4,330 and Gilgit-Baltistan 4,293.
