FIA, ICMPD jointly organize two-day consultative workshop
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) jointly organized a two-day consultative workshop in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The workshop was organized under the Fraudulent Job Advertisement (FJA-Pak) project.
FJA-Pak project is being implemented with the financial support of the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration.
The workshop aimed to create awareness about the dangers of fake job advertisements and cyber activities.
Representatives of the Ministry of Interior, FIA, Overseas Employment Corporation, BOEE, National Police Bureau, PTA and PKCERT participated in the workshop.
Safe and informed migration routes were highlighted in the workshop.
Stakeholders were invited to provide feedback and suggestions on the awareness campaign during the workshop.
A detailed review of the current awareness efforts to prevent fake job advertisements was conducted.
A practical approach and strategy were agreed upon for a national level awareness campaign.
Recommendations for the formulation of a National Plan of Action for Awareness were finalized in the workshop.
The aim of the awareness campaign is to Protecting youth from the dangers of migration and human trafficking.
