Police in Islamabad on Friday arrested a man who tried to commit suicide outside the Supreme Court (SC) building because of joblessness, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Waheed, who was an employee at NHA, attempted suicide by setting himself alight. Police took him into custody when he started sprinkling petrol on his body in order to set himself on fire.

A packet of matches, a bottle of petrol and a motorcycle were also seized from him before shifting him to the Secretariat Police Station.

Waheed was also accompanied by his two daughters on the occasion.
