Hira Khan faces backlash over ‘bold’ shoot
Hira Khan found herself at the centre of a heated online debate after sharing a saree photoshoot.
Taking to Instagram, she posted a series of glamorous shots, captioning them: “She’s the moment. The photos vs video struggle – you guys decide.”
The post quickly attracted a storm of criticism, with social media users leaving comments ranging from appreciation to outright condemnation.
While some followers praised the former Miss Veet Pakistan winner’s confidence and modern style, many others accused her of promoting indecency and going against cultural values.
A particularly detailed critique came from a female follower who urged Hira to reflect on her choices, saying, “This is not our culture. Before doing something that your heart finds fine, please at least consider how it will impact society.”
The comment added: “If I’m against people who imprison women with unnecessary limitations, I also disagree with vulgar things from our side as women. Balance is important. May Allah guide us all.”
One user wrote: “It’s a new style in the fashion industry… something different.” Another commented with heart emojis, praising her look and calling her “stunning.”
Some branded her ‘brazen’ and ‘blatant’, while others accused her of promoting obscenity.
One comment reads: “She is probably not getting work.”
Another netizen went as far as to call her a reason for plaguing the minds in society.
Hira Khan rose to fame after winning Miss Veet Pakistan and later transitioned into television, appearing in dramas such as Woh Pagal Si and Mere Humsafar.
