Work on education from home underway

Assuring the Punjab government of all-out support, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) directed cable operators to cooperate its staff to make effective education from home plan.
Authorities have introduced a special programme titled Taleem Ghar for students restricted to homes as part of coronavirus preventive measures.
Pemra Chairman Salim Baig issued directives to cable operators to extend all-out help to field workers so that they could make proper arrangements for the purpose.
A strategy to being devised while Lahore Regional Manager Ikram Barkat is being posted as a focal person to look after educational channels. He will be responsible for ensuring that cable operators show this channel in their respective areas.
On the other hand, cable operators have made an appeal to the Pemra chief for relaxing annual fee due to the ongoing crisis. The chairman assured that the authority would address the issue.
