Pakistan condemns attack on UAE embassy in Damascus
Pakistan has strongly condemned the targeting and vandalism of the UAE Embassy in Damascus, terming the incident a serious violation of international norms.
In a statement, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan said that any breach of the sanctity and security of diplomatic missions is against international law and must be condemned unequivocally.
The spokesperson emphasized that ensuring the safety and protection of embassies is a shared global responsibility under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which governs diplomatic conduct and safeguards missions worldwide.
Reaffirming its stance, Pakistan reiterated its commitment to upholding international law and established diplomatic principles. The Foreign Office also stressed that promoting peace, stability, and mutual respect among nations is essential, particularly in the current global environment.
The statement called for strict adherence to international obligations to prevent such incidents and ensure the protection of diplomatic missions across the world.
