Violent protests over rising prices in Iran have reportedly eased, following several days of clashes between demonstrators and security forces, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to the reports, at least ten people, including security personnel, have been killed during the unrest, while dozens of police officers were injured due to stone-pelting by protesters.
The most intense confrontations occurred in the city of Azna in Lorestan province, where security forces faced heavy resistance from demonstrators.
In response to the nationwide unrest, schools, universities, and government offices have been closed in several provinces to maintain public order and prevent further violence.
