Father killed in aerial firing during wedding in Nowshera

A tragic incident occurred in Nowshera when a father was killed as a result of aerial firing by his son during a wedding celebration, police said on Sunday.

Officials reported that the accused opened fire into the air at the wedding, injuring two other individuals.

The deceased and the injured were immediately shifted to Peshawar Hospital for treatment.

Police and authorities have urged citizens to avoid aerial firing at weddings and other events, warning that such irresponsible acts can result in the loss of precious lives.

This incident comes just days after another tragedy on December 27, 2025, when a groom was killed during aerial firing at a wedding in Jamrud in the Khyber tribal district.
