Dollar loses Rs2.67 against rupee

The rupee was making more gains against the US dollar which was available for Rs157.50 in inter-bank rate against the previous level of Rs160.17, reported 24NewsHD on Monday.

In this way, the dollar had so far lost Rs2.67 against the rupee during early trading on the first working day of the week.

Earlier on Thursday too, the rupee made substantial gains against the dollar with the greenback losing Rs1.44 against the Pakistani currency in inter-bank rate.

During the last week, the closing price of dollar in the inter-bank rate was Rs160.70 on Monday and Rs.160.17 on Thursday. However, it had reached the level of Rs161.75 on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the open market exchange rate sustained at Rs162 during the week cut short to four working days because of the holiday on May 1 in connection with International Workers’ Day.
