The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) predicted that various districts of Punjab would receive light rain starting from today, which is likely to continue until November 5, 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to details, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Talagang, Jhelum, Sargodha, Khushab, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Narowal are also likely to receive light rain, and Murree, Galiyat, and some other hilly areas will experience snowfall.

PDMA Director-General Irfan Ali Kathia said that light rain will bring the temperature down and there will be a decrease in the smog situation.

Irfan Ali Kathia advised people to use a mask to protect themselves from smog and avoid going outside unnecessarily.

He said that PDMA is monitoring the situation from the control room 24/7.

He advised farmers to reschedule their movements as per the season. The PDMA DG also asked drivers to use the fog light while travelling and contact with PDMA Helpline 1129 in case of any emergency.

Malakand, Upper Dir receive rain

Rain accompanied by lightning turned the weather cold in Malakand, Batkhela, and adjacent areas, but the supply of electricity was suspended after the rain.

After a long dry spell, the upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received much much-awaited rain, which also curbed the spread of seasonal diseases.

Dir, Shringal, Larjam, Barwal, and other tourist resorts also experienced light, which signals the start of the winter season.

Upper Dir is likely to experience more rain, and snowfall is also expected at the hilly areas today.
