Participants of the steering committee of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an opposition parties’ alliance, who met in Islamabad on Sunday with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the chair, agreed on the options of a ‘long march’ as well as ‘resignations’ from assemblies in order to send the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government home, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Quoting sources, the TV channel reported that the meeting was told that the steering committee had prepared recommendations for both the march as well as giving resignations en masse.
However, they added, members of the alliance left it to their respective party heads to decide the date of setting out on a long march as well as resigning from the assemblies at their summit to be held tomorrow (Monday, December 6).
The sources further said that the participants also agreed to hold conventions as well as public gatherings to build a momentum before the long march.
