A trader was shot dead Monday by motorcyclists in the jurisdiction of Aroop police station, Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, the accused was identified as Rafiq Mehar.

A heavy police force reached the spot upon information about the incident.

They took the body into custody and shifted it to a hospital for post-mortem.

The forensic team of the police also collected evidence from the spot.

The accused fled from the scene after the incident.

Personal enmity seemed to be the reason behind the incident.

The incident was being investigated from different angles.
