Turkish Land Forces commander calls on COAS

Turkish Land Forces Commander Umit Dundar paid a visit to General Headquarters and had a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), matters of mutual and professional interests with special focus on defence and security collaboration between the two brotherly states came under discussion during the meeting.
The COAS said Pakistan highly values brotherly relations with Turkey, which are deeply-rooted history and entrenched in the cultural and religious affinities.
The two sides agreed to further optimise military to military ties, particularly in training and counter-terrorism domains.
The visiting dignitary praised Pak Army for playing its pivotal part in efforts for regional peace and stability.
Earlier on arrival, Commander Turkish Land Forces was also presented with a guard of honour by a smartly-turned-out military contingent.
