Former senator Abbas Afridi among three injured in Kohat blast

A blast occurred at the outhouse of former Senator Abbas Afridi in Kohat, police confirmed on Thursday.

According to initial reports, the nature of the explosion is still being determined. Police stated that three people, including Abbas Afridi, were injured in the incident.

Afridi has been moved to the hospital in an injured condition, and further investigation is underway. The initial investigations suggested the blast was due to a gas leakage.

Earlier in the day, Kohat police have also arrested Amjad Afridi, nephew of Abbas Afridi, in a case realted to the murder of former district nazim Malik Asad.
