PCB decides to make academies fully functional
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday decided to make cricket academies located in Lahore, Karachi and Multan fully functional throughout the year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources said that various sports programmes will be held in the three academies while special attention will be given to Age Group Pathways Programme.
Sources further said that National Cricket Academy located in Lahore will focus on bench strength.
The performers will be provided residence in National Cricket Academy (NCA) and they will get training through coaches.
Under-10 cricketers from Multan will be provided training which will help them to preparation for next world cup.
In Karachi, members of women cricket and future women players will be selected. The women cricketers will be prepared for next year’s T20 International Cricket World Cup.
Renowned Cricketer Aaqib Javed is strong candidate for the post of Director High Performance.
Aqib Javed will use his experience for promotion of cricket academies in the country.
