DC's convoy attacked in South Waziristan

The convoy of South Waziristan Deputy Commissioner Ismatullah Wazir came under armed attack on Wednesday near Habib Kot Adana while traveling from Tank to Ladha, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

According to sources, unknown assailants opened heavy and light weapon fire from an unidentified direction as the convoy passed through the area. 

A vehicle carrying the Additional Deputy Commissioner for Finance and Planning (ADC F&P) was hit by bullets. The two officials were injured who were identified as Muharrir Ejaz Mehsud and constable Gul Nawaz, who was serving as a gunner with the ADC F&P. Both injured officials were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Ladha, where they received first aid. Official sources confirmed that the rest of the convoy members remained unharmed and no major damage was reported.
