The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three suspects allegedly involved in migrant smuggling and visa fraud, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to an FIA Lahore spokesperson, the arrested suspects were identified as Asif Murtaza, Ejaz Mahmood and Muhammad Arshad. They were captured during separate raids conducted in Lahore and Sialkot.

The spokesperson said Asif Murtaza was operating an illegal visa agency under the name Al Haram Technical Trade and Training Centre without a valid license. He is accused of collecting large sums of money from citizens by falsely promising overseas employment opportunities.

During the raid, FIA officials recovered 18 Pakistani passports along with other documents from the suspect's possession.

Furthermore, the suspects Ejaz Mahmood and Muhammad Arshad allegedly attempted to smuggle the complainant's son to Europe via Libya. The agency said the young man remains missing.
