The Sindh government has decided to take control of evacuated properties across the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Sindh government on Thursday declared that after the 18th Amendment the properties left by Hindus are the properties of the provincial government.

The government also decided to appoint Deputy Commissioners as administrators of the evacuated properties in all districts and in this regard, the Sindh cabinet gave approval yesterday.

Deputy Commissioners have been made responsible for removing the encroachment from all evacuated properties.

The Sindh government is responsible for managing the properties under the Evacuated Trust Properties Act 2021.

According to sources, there was a dispute between the federal and provincial governments over evacuated properties.

The Federal Evacuated Trust Properties Board had issued a tender to auction the properties in Karachi.

The Sindh government had objected to the auction of the properties.

The Sindh government had declared the auction of the properties illegal.

Now the Sindh government has decided to take control of all evacuated properties.
