Two hired assassins killed in Faisalabad CCD encounter

Two hired assassins were gunned down and two escaped during a police encounter in Faisalabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to the details, two officials from the Crime Control Department (CCD), Ali Akram Goyra and Erum Shah, cordoned off the area. 

The CCD officials intercepted four suspicious persons and signalled them to stop. After noticing the CCD team, the suspicious persons opened fire on them.

In retaliation firing of the CCD team, two accused who were later identified as Gulfam and Farzain died, and two of their accomplices escaped from the scene.

The CCD team said that Gulfam and Farzain were shooters and involved in dozens of serious criminal cases.

Later, the police shifted the dead bodies of the accused to the hospital mortuary. The CCD team started a search operation to apprehend the accomplices of the accused.

The other police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Civil Linea Police Station, in which a drug-peddler Adnan Yousaf, was arrested in an injured condition.

The police signaled two suspicious persons to stop near Noor Wali Shah graveyard, but they started firing on the police team.

During the exchange of fire, one accused became seriously injured after receiving bullet wounds.
