NEPRA notifies 28-paisa hike in power tariff

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an increase of 28 paise per unit in electricity charges under the fuel price adjustment for December 2025, 24NewsHD TV reported.

The adjustment, based on fuel costs for December 2025, will be reflected in electricity bills issued in February 2026.

The hike applies to all electricity consumers nationwide, including K-Electric customers.

However, NEPRA clarified that certain categories of consumers are exempt from the increase, including lifeline users and electric vehicle charging stations.
