Azad Kashmir information minister resigns

Azad Kashmir Information Minister Chaudhry Rafique Nayyar has resigned from his post and announced to contest elections as an independent candidate from Khooyi Ratta constituency, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Rafique Nayyar forwarded his resignation to Azad Kashmir President Faisal Mumtaz Rathore on Monday.
However, PPP leader Abdul Qayyum Qamar has announced Rafique Nayyar as PPP’s unanimous candidate from the constituency.
It may be mentioned here that Rafique Nayyar was not given a PPP ticket for 2026 general elections.
Before Rafique Nayyar, former AJK prime minister Sardar Taneer Ilyas, former minister Ali Shan Soni and others have quit the party.
