PMDC issues new criteria for students seeking admissions abroad
Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has issued new criteria for students taking admission in foreign medical colleges, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to new criteria, at least 60 percent marks in FSC Pre-Medical or equivalent examination declared mandatory for foreign medical education.
At least 50 percent marks in MDCAT examination held in Pakistan also declared mandatory.
Students taking admission abroad will have to register online as per the prescribed criteria.
After online registration, students will be eligible to appear in the National Registration Examination for practice in Pakistan.
Conditions declared mandatory for obtaining NRE and temporary registration under PM&DC Act 2022.
Approval of the relevant foreign regulatory authority also declared mandatory for foreign medical graduates.
It is mandatory for the concerned medical institution to be recognized by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.
Students should check the approval status of the institution from the ECFMG website before taking admission abroad.
