PCB election commissioner retires without conducting polls

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Thursday decided to appoint a new Election Commissioner, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

The notification stated that PCB Election Commissioner Mahmood Iqbal Khakwani’s tenure has ended and he will not be given extension.

He was appointed election commissioner of the board on July 5.

He failed to conduct elections for chairman of the board in his three-month tenure.

The government will appoint a new election commissioner for PCB.

It was also stated that Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf tenure of four months as Chairman Management Committee will be completed on November 5.
