ECC approves Rs280 million for e-voting consultancy, PIA restructuring plan

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the federal cabinet on Wednesday approved PIA restructuring plan and also sanctioned Rs280 million for consultancy for e-voting system, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Hammad Azhar.
The ECC approved the PIA restructuring plan that will be presented before the federal cabinet. The national carrier will limit its expenses in accordance with its earnings.
While, the ECC gave go-ahead to the Ministry of Science and Technology summary on consultancy for e-voting. The ECC also approved a Rs300 million supplementary grant from the Federal Investment Board.
The ECC approved Rs2.23 billion for TEVTA’s project ‘Skills for All’.
Hammad Azhar-led EEC also approved Rs330 million for the VVIP helicopter maintenance. The ECC also nodded to the supplementary grant for the ‘Insaf Imdad Programme’.
