ECNEC approves 28 uplift projects

Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) convened today under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar. 

The high-level meeting led to the approval of 28 major projects spanning the energy, infrastructure, education, health, environment, public administration, and service sectors at both federal and provincial levels.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and long-term prosperity, Senator Dar reiterated the administration’s focus on strengthening institutional frameworks and promoting development initiatives that ensure broad-based economic benefits. The session saw the participation of key figures including the Minister for Planning, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, federal secretaries of Planning, Economic Affairs Division (EAD), and Cabinet Division, as well as the Chairman of the National Highway Authority (NHA). Provincial ministers, the Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan, and senior officials from various ministries and departments were also in attendance.

The approved projects reflect a coordinated effort to stimulate socio-economic progress and enhance the delivery of essential public services nationwide.
