Former MNA and novelist Bushra Rehman passed away in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The funeral prayers of the deceased Bushra Rehman were offered at 4pm today (Monday) at Garden Town, Lahore. 

Bushra Rehman served MNA on a seat reserved for women from 1988 to 2008. She was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Punjab on a reserved seat for women in the 1985 elections.

She was the recipient of the Sitara-i-Imtiaz for her achievements in the literature.

She wrote novels including Allah Mian Ji, Bahisht, Barah e Raast, But Shikan, Chaand Say Na Khelo, Chara Gar, Chup, Ek Aawara Ki Khatir, Khubsurat, Kis Morr Par Milay Ho, Laazawal, Lala Sehrai, Lagan, Pyaasi, Sharmeely, Tere Sung Dar Ki Talaash Thi and Tuk Tuk Deedam Tokyo.
