WhatsApp is one of the applications that many use to chat, but sometimes our contacts tend to join groups without our consent. It is for that reason that today we will teach you all the steps to prevent other people from adding you to conversations without your permission.

Best of all, this will help not only keep your information private, but also avoid denying when someone wants to add you to groups of WhatsApp. No need to install third-party applications.

HOW TO AVOID BEING ADDED TO WHATSAPP GROUPS

·         The first thing will be to have the latest version of WhatsApp. You can download it from Google Play The iOS Store.

·         After that go to ‘Settings’ or ‘Settings’ of WhatsApp.

·         Now simply go to ‘Account’, ‘Privacy’.

·         At that time you must click on ‘Groups’.

This way you can determine whether or not you want your contacts to add you to WhatsApp groups.

·         There you define who you can add to a group.

·         You can choose between your contacts, all without discrimination or some except.

·         After that, when they try to add you to a WhatsApp group, they should send you an invitation.

·         In that case you will have the power to accept or reject it. Issue resolved.

WhatsApp could soon notify you when someone mentions you in a group chat

You already receive notifications when someone replies to you, but not when you're mentioned.

The popular cross-platform instant messaging app WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will see people receive notifications when they are mentioned in a group message. While only currently available to those who are running the latest developer beta of WhatsApp via TestFlight, it's hoped that we will all be able to take advantage of it in the future.

The feature, which was first noted by WABetaInfo, is part of WhatsApp version 22.1.71 and adds notifications only when people are mentioned in a group chat — the same notification isn't currently triggered from within a one-on-one chat.

As you can see in this screenshot, in the first image someone replied to me, and the notification reports this information. In the second image, someone has mentioned me in a message, so the notification reports this event as well.

Note that the information about replies and mentions are added in notifications when you receive messages from group chats.–parisbeachon.com/imore.com
