The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested six accused, wanted by Punjab police, from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the help of the International Police (Interpol), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The accused against whom cases were registered under the provisions of murder and dacoity were brought to Sialkot Airport before being handed over to the police concerned by the FIA Immigration Wing.

They were identified as Qamar Shehzad, Tauqeer Butt, Bostan Hassan, Saim Zaib, Waqar Azeem and Naseem Abbas. They were wanted by Attock, Vehari, Gujranwala, Pakpattan and Toba Tek Singh police.

Last year, Interpol Pakistan issued 117 red notices for the suspects’ arrest which was made possible due to the close coordination of Interpol Islamabad with Interpol UAE.
