PM Shehbaz, Interior Minister commend forces for Muharram peace
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi commended the role of security forces, police, and provincial administrations for ensuring a peaceful and secure observance of Youm-e-Ashura across the country, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Monday.
In separate messages posted on the social media platform X, both leaders extended their heartfelt appreciation to the personnel involved in maintaining law and order during Muharram.
The PM, in his message, talked about the meeting with the interior minister and commended the PM of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and the chief ministers of Punjab, KP, Sindh, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan for ensuring peace on Ashura.
Shehbaz Sharif in his tweet said, "During my meeting with Minister Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, I was briefed regarding the overall situation and security arrangements across the country in connection with Youm-e-Ashura. I deeply appreciate the well-coordinated efforts of provincial governments, security forces, police, and Rangers in ensuring a peaceful and secure observance of Youm-e-Ashura across the country. I also commend the leadership of CM Punjab @MaryamNSharif, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah, CM KPK Ali Amin Gandapur, CM Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti, CM GB Gulbar Khan, and PM AJK Anwar ul Haq for their effective oversight in this regard."

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also paid tribute to the security agencies for maintaining law and order during Ashura, saying that the services of the Pakistan Army, Rangers, police, and intelligence agencies are commendable in his tweet on Monday.
Mohsin Naqvi said in his message, "I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all officers and personnel from the Pakistan Army, Rangers, Police, Intelligence Agencies, Civil Defence, and local administrations who played a vital role in ensuring peace and security during Ashura across the country. Your unwavering commitment, vigilance, and tireless efforts—day and night—made it possible for the mourners to observe the sacred rituals with dignity and safety. Your dedication is a testament to the strength and professionalism of our security institutions."

It is also pertinent to mention here that last night, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi called on PM Shehbaz in Lahore and briefed him about the security arrangements made across the country on Youm-e-Ashur.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated all provincial administrations, police, Rangers, and security forces for making effective security arrangements on Youm-e-Ashur.
The Prime Minister lauded Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, provincial Chief Ministers Maryam Nawaz, Murad Ali Shah, Ali Amin Gandapur, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Gulbar Khan, and Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Anwarul Haq for ensuring law and order in their respective areas. He said it was due to elaborate and professional planning of the provincial governments and security forces that Ashura was observed peacefully across the country. The interior minister briefed the prime minister that all-out measures were taken to facilitate the people and ensure foolproof security.
