LHC introduces color-coded file covers effective June 15
Lahore High Court has decided to implement a new color-coded file system for case filings starting June 15, with the full transition to be completed by July 15, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
According to a circular issued by the Additional Registrar (Judicial), the purpose is to make case work easier and faster.
Each type of case file will now have its peculiar color. The white file covers will be used for writ cases. Family cases will use white files with pink borders.
Similarly, civil cases will have white files with dark yellow borders, and criminal cases will have white files with blue borders. Likewise, full blue file covers will be used for criminal branch, full yellow for civil branch files, full brown for commercial and tax cases and full orange for election cases. All court staff must follow this new system.
