Schools closed for indefinite period in wake of Indian aggression

In a significant move reflecting rising regional tensions, the Secretary of Elementary and Secondary Education, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), has ordered the immediate closure of all government and private schools across the region due to escalating Indian aggression along the Line of Control (LoC).

According to an official notification issued by the AJK Education Department, all educational institutions will remain closed until further notice. The decision has been made in view of the current security situation and to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school staff.

"The safety of our children is paramount. In light of the ongoing cross-border hostilities, this step has become necessary," the notification stated.

Authorities have urged parents and school administrations to stay updated through official channels for further instructions. The department emphasized that reopening will only be considered once the situation stabilises and it is deemed safe for students to return to classrooms.

This abrupt suspension of academic activities has disrupted schooling for thousands of students in the region, many of whom were in the middle of exam preparations. 

Educational officials are expected to announce an alternative plan for rescheduling classes and assessments if the closure persists.
