PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz was forced to reschedule her election campaign in Gilgit-Baltistan because of the closure of Skardu-Gilgit Road, as she left for Islamabad on Saturday afternoon in a PIA plane, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
However, Maryam will again leave for the region tomorrow morning (Sunday) by boarding the flight for Gilgit and stay there till November 12 where she has planned to continue campaigning aggressively in different areas.
Earlier, the PML-N announced the decision through its official Twitter account.

On Friday, Maryam addressed a large rally in Skardu where she said neither Gilgit-Baltistan nor Pakistan would accept the election results if the PML-N was defeated through the rigging.
Maryam said neither rigging nor those involved in rigging and also the product of rigging would survive. They were going to face the people’s wrath, she added.
The PML-N leader said those planning to rig the elections must understand that Pakistan had changed since 2018 in the last two-and-a-half years, adding that the people would rule the country in the future.
Being picked up in the night for posting something on Twitter and Facebook or saying something in public was not the future of youth and that won’t be allowed to happen, said the PML-N leader.
