Asim Azhar draws inspiration from Atif Aslam's career
At the 17th Urdu Conference, organized by the Karachi Arts Council, renowned actor Humayun Saeed offered singer Asim Azhar an opportunity to act in one of the plays, saying he had an immense talent.
During the session, Asim acknowledged Humayun Saeed’s immense expertise, referring to him as the “university of acting.” Asim emphasized that be believed acting involved much more than delivering lines. It’s a complex craft that requires a deep understanding of both on-screen and behind-the-scenes work."
The singer Asim Azhar revealed his plan to first establish himself in music before venturing into acting. He said that achieving success in singing would allow him to explore other fields including acting at the right time. He made it clear that he would not take on acting roles without receiving proper training.
He said he believed that acting was a challenging profession that demanded preparation and learning. He is dedicated to mastering the craft before taking on any major acting roles, he added.
While speaking about his future ambitions, Asim also cited Atif Aslam’s successful transition from singing to acting as a major source of inspiration. He praised Atif for making his acting debut after achieving recognition in music, a path he himself hopes to follow in the future.
It should be remembered that Asim has already made his acting debut in the drama "Sinf e Ahan" and worked opposite Hira Mani in "Pagli", where Hira played the character of a mentally ill woman. Asim's acting career is still in its infancy, his passion for the craft is evident.
